The Assam Police is the law enforcement agency for the state of Assam in India. A regular police force was initiated in Assam by the British after the Treaty of Yandaboo to maintain the law and order. It functions under the Department of Home Affairs, Assam. The Headquarters of Assam police is situated in state capital Dispur.

Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam Police has released notification for filling up 225 vacancies for the post of Junior Assistant, Grade-IV, Assistant Enforcement Inspector, Enforcement Checker & Various Posts.

Selection Process will be based on Written Test & Skill Test.

• Junior Assistant & Computer – Graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce and Diploma in Computer.
• Assistant Commercial Officer – Graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce.
• Stenographer-III – Graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce and National Trade Certificate in Stenography from ITI with 80 words per minutes.
• Assistant Enforcement Inspector – Higher Secondary (10+2)or equivalent examination passed.
• Enforcement Checker – HSLC or equivalent examination passed.
• Machinist – HSLC or equivalent examination passed with ITI in Machinist.
• Fitter Helper – HSLC or equivalent examination passed with ITI in Fitter.
• Electrical Wireman – HSLC or equivalent examination passed with ITI in Electrical Wireman.
